With full racing unable to return to Forestry England locations due to continuing coronavirus restrictions, we are delighted to be hosting a series of virtual races in two of their forests in the North East of England

The Middle Fell race is a traditional fell race. 10.88 kilometres with 529 meters of accent. The route goes from The Strands Inn in Nether Wasdale through the fields and up Middle Fell and back. It is a friendly race with Cumbrian tatie pot to finish.

This event is a Street Orienteering event centred around Burnley using an OpenOrienteering map. There is one score course for all competitors with a 60 minute time limit. There will be 1 point penalty for every 12 seconds you are late.

2 Day Basic Navigation Techniques (Bronze Award for the NNAS)
A Winter Ultra Challenge of 45 miles of the Pendle Way - with alternative option of 30 miles - on Saturday 6th February 2021 open to Runners and Walkers from Pendle Heritage Centre in Barrowford.
The Brecon to Cardiff Ultra is a 70 Km race along the Taff Trail running through the Brecon Beacons National Park taking in stunning views. It is easy to navigate, making this an ideal first ultra or for experienced runners to post a fast time.

The Kong Mini Mountain Marathon series 2021 comprises of four x 4 hour fell running & navigation score events in North Wales, the Peak District and the Lake District. Best 3 results count towards a final league score with great prizes.
The Anglezarke Amble is a Challenge Walk taking in Rivington, Anglezarke and Turton Moors, through an area known locally as “Little Lake District”. There is a choice of distances for walkers, either 17 or 24 miles. Runners can only do the long route.
Runners have 1 hour to finish the 4.186 mile course before lining up and going again on the hour every hour. This will happen every hour until there is only one runner left. This runner is the last one standing the winner. This is a Golden coin event

Another new location for Puretrail running with the Event Centre at Morwellham Quay. This is our first time foraging the high trails above the River Tamar. We're kicking off with this tortuous 10km....at least there's a pub at the finish line!

The Hardwolds 80 route follows the Wolds Way from Hessle to Filey passing through chalk landscapes with dry valleys and stunning wildlife alongside market Towns and ancient villages such as Brantingham, Londesborough, Thixendale and Wharram Percy.
Fully signed Trail Ultra on the North Downs Way and Surrey Wildlife Trust reserve at Norbury Park of ancient woodlands. A relatively level 50k route of 2986 ft ascent in whole race makes it accessible to many!

The twenty mile Ullswater Way opened at Easter 2016 and our inaugural event was in October 2016. We now offered two versions; Ullswater Way is 20 miles, whilst the Challenge route is 24 miles. UC takes a high level fell path around the head of Glencoyne.
