Junior Races

Our junior races provide an excellent opportunity for young athletes to sharpen their racing skills ahead of the District Championships, Schools Cross Country competitions, and other key fixtures later in the season. Designed to offer competitive and enjoyable racing across all age groups, the event gives athletes valuable experience on a genuine cross country course while competing alongside some of the best young runners from across Northern Ireland.

Join us in Mallusk this January and be part of a day that celebrates the rich heritage of cross country running while inspiring the next generation of athletes. Race where champions have raced, challenge yourself on historic ground, and start 2027 in style.

• 10.30am Primary 5 - 7 boys - £4 (800m)
• 10.45am Primary 5 - 7 girls - £4(800m)
• 11am U13 boys and girls - £5 (2K)
• 11.30am U15 boys and girls -£5 (3K)
• 12.00 U17 boys and girls - £5 (4K)
• 12.45 - Senior women and male vets(60+)* - £11 (6K)
• 1.30pm - Senior men - £11 (8K)

Junior races -

must be under 13 on the day for U13 race

must be under 15 on the day for U15 race

must be under 17 on the day for U17 race

* Male Vets (60+) The male veteran race will be run with the senior ladies race (6K)

You can enter this race from male 45+

***However, please note the veteran winners will be declared from age 60+ only. ***

There will be no age category winners for men below 60 and in the vets race.
