Start window: 1730 to 1930 Last start for 120 min course 1845; Last start for 90 min course 1915.
Can be done solo, in a pair, or as a group of 3 or more. Each participant needs to put in an individual entry EXCEPT accompanied youngsters under 18 who go for FREE (when accompanied by a paying adult who must be 21+). Juniors aged 16 and above can run/walk alone with parental permission - in this case they need their own individual entry with discretionary discount codes available as below: Individual entrants aged 16-21 are invited to use the discretionary discount code SpunchZoom50. This will provide a 50% discount on the applicable entry fee. Intended for students in full time education or on very low or zero income. Entrants aged 22-25 are invited to use the young adult discount code Spunch25. This will provide a 25% discount on the applicable entry fee intended for young adults just starting out in life with low resources. A waterproof map of the course is provided to ALL participants. Spunch! Is a big sporty treasure hunt with a difference - A fun, friendly & safe mini-adventure with a unique & colourful map. Suitable for all ages & abilities - no previous experience required. Locals and newcomers always welcome.
One of our Christmas Lights Festive Specials making it particularly good fun and suitable for friends and family of all ages. A good selection of SpunchPoints will be located at some of the more outstanding Christmas lights displays! 🎄
You are also invited to wear your best festive outfits - in fact fancy dress of any kind - anything goes. This is entirely optional, and your normal running / walking gear is just fine, but there will be a spot prize or two for the best turned-out!
Run or walk. 2k to 22k, the choice is yours! 60, 90 and 120 min course duration options (you can choose on the day itself).
The event is open to all and we are delighted to be staging this one from The Woodside in Crewe in collaboration with the local running club southcheshireharriers.org.uk
Visit as many checkpoints as you can in the time available, Satellite punching using the MapRun app on your smartphone, Garmin or Apple Watch. With over 60 SpunchPoints to go for - how many will you bag?
For runners, walkers, friends & families. Go solo, pair or in a group of 3 or more. We can usually pair you up on the day if you prefer not to go alone. Lots of help available for newbies. Dogs are welcome too, but must be kept on a lead and under control at all times.
On-site Registration opens at 1730 and you can start anytime from 1730 to 1930. (Last start for 120 min course 1845; Last start for 90 min course 1915. All in the dark. HI VIS AND TORCHES REQUIRED FOR EVERYONE PLEASE. (Preferably with fairy lights too!)
Final details and the MapRun courses are usually published to all entrants on the day before the event giving you time to make a route plan!

An overdue return to The Woodside but this time for an all-in-the-dark special. The venue will provide a warm welcome with a wide selection of drinks and food available (details to be confirmed). The venue is child & dog friendly.
Parking, Registration, Help, Bag Drop, Loos, Start, Finish, Results, Food & Drink all at or near the venue.
Just 15-20 mins from M6 J16 & J17. Convenient for Crewe, Nantwich, Tarporley, Winsford, Middlewich, Holmes Chapel, Congleton, Kidsgrove, Alsager, Sandbach, Audley, Stoke, Newcastle & Whitchurch etc
Catch the Spunch Train: The nearest train stations is Crewe - a 2.5k walk / ride / Uber from the venue.
The Area & Course
Welcome to Wistaston and West Crewe - where the locals are always keen to put on a good Christmas Light Show! We will put together a carefully curated course to ensure you see the best of it! But it won't all be well-illuminated! We will take you on an off-road mini adventure too through some of the local green corridors aswell as the occasional snicket! Lots of route choice over gently undulating ground. Good running / walking on a mixture of underfoot conditions from tarmac to off-road paths*. There will be something for everyone and even locals will likely discover new paths and places!
