Join us for the 25th Anniversary of the Haweswater Half Marathon. This rewarding out and back course on quiet undulating roads passes along the shores of Haweswater with incredible views in this Lake District valley.

A perfect race for those training for spring marathons or those seeking to complete their first half marathon in a stunning location.

Race registration and toilets are at Bampton Village Hall CA10 2RS. Please only use the toilets provided to avoid complaints from the kind villagers who allow us to put on this race each year.

The race starts at 11:30am and the race safety briefing will take place at 11:10am at the village hall.  The race start is a 5/10 minute walk from the village hall.

Race numbers can be collected from 9:30am.

Parking is available at the village hall and village green, however, PLEASE car share wherever possible for obvious environmental reasons. Parking will be coordinated by marshals so please follow their instructions and do not park on the race route or in the village! We rely on good relations with the local community to host this race.

PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO PUBLIC TRANSPORT TO BAMPTON VILLAGE

This year we are supporting the local charity, 4Eden (https://www.4eden.co.uk/) & giving you the option to donate £2 of your entry fee to them instead of receiving an official event mug.

4Eden is a local charity providing coaching & support, services, and opportunities throughout the Eden Valley from their office based in Penrith. Their services specialise in learning disability, neurodiversity and additional learning needs.

They work closely within our local community, with local people, voluntary & community groups and local employers to offer a diverse range of work placements, employment options, clubs and social groups.

They network within our community to attract a variety of inclusive everyday activities that enable people to have friendships outside of paid support, focusing on independence, living and ordinary life – their ‘best life’.

All finishers will receive a hot tea or coffee and a delicious slice of Traybake flapjack from Traybakes (vegan option also available) whether you opt for a mug or not.

Prizes to Overall Winners: 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes for male and female

Other Prize Categories : 1st Male and Female in U23, V40, V50, V60, V70 and First Team of 3

Anyone winning an overall prize will not be eligible for an age category prize.

The minimum age limit is strictly 16 years old on the day of race.

Race entry limit is 500.

Please read our terms and conditions for information on transfers and selling entries.
