Introduction

The Coast to Coast 300KM is a challenging multi-day ultra. Participants will traverse Wainwright’s iconic route in full from the Irish Sea at St Bees to the North Sea at Robin Hood’s Bay.

Participants will cross three national parks—the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, and North York Moors—covering a diverse mix of terrain and environments.

This is a serious endurance challenge, suited for  experienced runners and  long distance hikers who are capable of managing themselves across  multiple days in remote and mountainous environments.

The Route

The route follows the established Wainright's Coast to Coast path from St Bees to Robin Hood’s Bay. While sections are way-marked, participants must not rely solely on signage and should be competent in navigation.

Terrain includes mountain trails, moorland, forest tracks, farmland, and road crossings. Conditions underfoot will vary significantly throughout the route.

A GPX file and final route details will be provided in advance of the event.
