Ian Roberts Memorial Fell Race

10.3km (6.5 ml) & 260m (850 ft) ascent.

Register at Marsden Cricket Club, Mount Road, Marsden HD7 6NN (GR 046106).

Minimum age 18. Entry Limit 200.

Start Time: 11am (from Grid Ref SE 042108, OS Landranger Sheet 110 - a 10 minute walk from the cricket club).

This race is a 6.5 mile fell race on boggy, rough moorland on the edge of the Pennine Way. Be prepared for the weather – whatever time of year it is!

As we found in previous years, there is always a possibility of wintry conditions prevailing, so please come prepared to carry full FRA kit. The kit requirements on the day will be posted in the Cricket Club and must be adhered to.

Hot & cold drinks and the legendary cake spread will be available after the race.

We have been asked by the cricket club committee to remind all runners to try & keep the clubhouse as clean as possible. Please ensure that after the race you take off any muddy, wet shoes and do not clean your shoes or socks in the sinks in the toilets. Failure to respect the cricket club’s facilities may jeopardise future races.

Online entries will be accepted up to midnight on Thursday 11th March 2027. If the race doesn't fill up, then we will be accepting on-the-day entries, cost £8 FRA Members & £10 Non-members.
