We look forward to welcoming clubs, families and individuals from around the world to WOC Tour 2024, both to support their national teams and to enjoy their own races in some outstanding locations in Scotland’s capital.
It's that time of year again! So join us and combine two of our favourite pastimes. The Timperley Track will be host to the Altrincham Beer Mile (& the Prosecco Mile!), 4 Beers and 4 Laps of sheer delight
A course for both breaststroke swimmers looking to learn the fundamentals of front crawl and front crawl swimmers looking to improve their stroke efficiency & technique. It is a 90 minute session including a theory session and the practical in open water
The Hill Race is 5 miles and is on road, bridleway and footpath. The Fun Run is 2 miles and is on road, bridleway and footpath. The Fun Run is open to all ages but children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. 
This is NDH's Northern XC race at Castlewood farm near Tow Law in County Durham.  We have been racing Gravity events here for a few years and so its now time to get the XC crew involved too.
Wasdale is without doubt one of the best fell races, arguably the hardest and also the most scenic, set in the heart of the Lakes with a rich fell-running heritage. Super-long with a variety of running, navigation and strong mountain experience required.

Washington Running Club host an annual 5k race aptly named The Bottoms Up Cup, running through the heart of the iconic Princess Anne Park in the centre of Washington on a Sunday morning during the summer.

A summer evening blast on an out and back route which has a bit of everything: tough fell ground, a big climb (to the summit of Chapelfelltop at an elevation of 700m) and a fantastic quick descent.

Based in malt whisky country, the Ben Rinnes Hill Race a Scottish long classic. It follows an out and back to Ben Rinnes, the dominant hill in Dufftown, passing the summits of Little and Meikle Convals on the outward and return journeys.
As an up and down route, the race is pure perfection. Matterhorn-like, Pike of Blisco rears up from the Langdale valley like a challenge, asking: How fast can you climb it and return?

The 2nd Rodent Wriggle to be held with a13.5 mile, 23 mile and a 50k (31.5 mile)route. The 13.5 mile route branches off the main route at 7 miles, and the 23 mile route branches off it at 12.5 miles, with both returning to the main route to finish.

100 miles, 100 kilometres or 40 miles starting from Longridge and heading through the Ribble Valley and into North Yorkshire. All proceeds will benefit local charities, last year we raised just short of £3,000 in aid of Prostate Cancer.

The Mourne Seven Sevens is an 19 mile challenge walk over the 7 highest peaks of the Mourne Mountains in County Down. This is the 30th anniversary of the event which was first run in 1992.

The first ever woman's only ultramarathon races in the heart of West Yorkshire
Join us for a 50-Mile adventure around the sleeping giant that is The Epynt Way! With the Brecon Beacons to the South and the Cambrian Mountains to the North, the terrain is beautifully tough and the views are quite simply breathtaking.
A classic country show 6 mile hill race! Starting at the show field the route heads out along farm fields. Arriving at east hill a climb up east hill and along its spine. Arriving at Ingram you'll head back to the show field. 6 miles. 11am start.

The South Shields 10 Mile Race will return in 2024 along the beautiful coastline of South Shields. The race is highly regarded in the North East running calendar and a great benchmark of fitness before the Great North Run in September.
The race is nearly all off road, following the beautiful River Dart. It starts and finishes on Borough Park and uses the Totnes Leisure Centre as its Race HQ, where there are plenty of toilets, showers and changing facilities.
The race is a 1-mile Fun Run around the perimeter of Borough Park. This always proves really popular and gives all those taking part the chance to complete a safe, measured 1-mile course. 
Capernwray Triathlons / Aquathlons / AquaBikes / Swims, are a great way to get your Tri fix on a week day. They’re super friendly and relaxed, so are also an ideal way to take your first steps into Triathlon.
Crawfordsburn 5k Open Trail Race, 7th August 2024 at 7.15pm Entries can be made online until midnight 6th August 2024 if the entry limit is not reached beforehand. There will be NO on the day entry. Entries are capped at 300 athletes.

Runners have 1 hour to finish the 4.186 mile course before lining up and going again on the hour every hour. This will happen every hour until there is only one runner left. This runner is the last one standing the winner.
The Lurig Challenge Run is part of The Heart of the Glens Festival and is a 3.8 mile run to the summit of Lurig and back again.
31 miles, 23 or 15.5 miles from Cilcain Village Hall. The route climbs the Clwydian Hills to follow the Offa's Dyke Path along the ridge returning via wooded country and Loggerheads country park. Both walkers and runners are welcome

A fully marked ultra on nice underfoot, runnable scenic trails. The route heads into Sherwood Forest to take in Robin Hoods homeland before returning back to South Wheatley. A relatively flat run with mild undulations make it a 'fast' course.
In simple turns run in circles for your chosen time period. The course is 4.2 miles long so that runners wanting to replicate a Backyard format can do so. Both events will start at 10am and it's up to you how slow or fast you run.
Competitors must complete the 4.1-mile loop on the hour every hour until only one runner remains. The DNF bell will be sounded exactly on the hour - there will be only one athlete who does not receive a DNF and they will be crowned the champ!
The Hardmoors 60 route follows the Cleveland Way from Guisborough to Filey passing through coastal resorts and fishing villages of Saltburn, Staithes, Robin Hoods Bay, Ravenscar, Scarborough and Filey while following cliff tops for the main duration.

Fast and furious with plenty of fun - this is NDH's Trail bike TT race at Eastgate in the Wear Valley of County Durham. May's event is taking in the traditional part of the farm where TT’s have always ran.
The scenic course follows undulating rural lanes throughout, with little traffic and passes through the local hamlets of Ogwell and Denbury. Drinks will be provided at approximately 5 and 8 km and at the finish.

Celebrating North East Engineering history, the Locomotion Charity Run has a choice of 2 routes (10 miles or 5 miles) along the original railway route of the Stockton and Darlington Railway. Proceeds to the Great North Air Ambulance.

The second year of two beginner-friendly ultramarathons In Norfolk. A choice of a 50km or a 50 mile route, travelling through the beautiful Norfolk countryside all the way to Cromer Pier. Both are suitable for runners and walkers.
A 135km bikepacking adventure on 5th / 6th October by gravel bike or mtb in the Yorkshire Dales. Start from 3 Peaks Cycles in Settle with a 'Checkpoint Challenge on Day 1 and a campsite on Saturday night. Day 2 return via Ilkley and Appletreewick.

The ‘Hodgson Brothers Mountain Relay’ is a fell running relay race. It is set in the heart of the Lake District Fells over four legs and is the longest-running mountain relay in the country.
The Dalbeattie Hardrock Challenge Junior event is a running/mountain biking Duathlon in Dalbeattie Forest for 8-15 year olds. Competitors can enter individually and do both the run and the bike or in a team of one runner and one biker.
The Lakeland Four Passes is a challenging route of 18(ish) miles taking in 4 of the Lake District's most scenic valleys & their adjoining passes. The route now starts & finishes at Gatesgarth Farm, at the SE end of Buttermere.
The Lakelander Gravel Grinder is Ireland’s premier gravel cycling challenge. Expect wilderness, remoteness and spectacular views across this virtually unexplored part of Ireland. Distance options – Big Dog 100km, The 60km Mongrel or the Little Dog 50km.

The Dalbeattie Hardrock Challenge is a Duathlon which takes place entirely in Dalbeattie Forest. The event is a challenging 10 mile run on rough forest roads & a 16 mile MTB section which follows the 7stanes Red Grade Hardrock Trail. Now in it's 20th year
The Dovedale Dash is a cross country race of 4 3/4 mile. The course is mainly along field paths and open ground in the valleys of the river Dove and Manifold. One of the excitements is the crossing of the rivers Dove at the well known Stepping Stones.
MTB enduro, 4 timed stages mash-up style. Hand built by riders for riders of all skill levels.
Irish grassroots enduro mountain bike racing series run by clubs encouraging anyone, regardless of age or gender, to try racing in the simplest format. One day blind race format allowing riders to repeat the stages multiple times. Fun over competition.
A 15 or 25 mile circular challenge run or walk around the picturesque North Yorkshire Moors from the event HQ at the Village Hall, Commondale. There will be a team of people to support you throughout the day providing tea and cake!

A multi terrain 10-mile course starting and finishing in the wonderful grounds of Stover School, Newton Abbot. The course is 90% off road and runners will have the pleasure of running through the picturesque Stover Country Park.

The Charnwood Challenge is an off-road event for runners and walkers. The main event covers approximately 10 miles through the Charnwood countryside.
The Downslink Ultra is a 38 mile Ultra point to point race from St Martha’s Hill, Surrey to Shoreham- by-Sea, West Sussex using the Downslink footpath and bridleway. The trail crosses the Low Weald and mostly follows two former railway lines.
Trail race starting from Mount Hawke cricket club at 11am the race takes in some coast path around Chapel Porth and back towards Porthtowan before a loop around Tywarnhayle mine. Spectacular views!

An annual mountain biking event, now in its 24th year, over a 27 mile way-marked course with 4000 feet of ascent, half off-road and half on country roads. The route runs over tracks across the surrounding moors with stunning views of the area.
Stunning views from the Coastpath, St Agnes Beacon and of Wheal Coates. Brilliant ascent from Chapel Porth to St Agnes Beacon. Fast singletrack running on the coastpath. Chill out in Blue Bar afterwards to watch the sunset from the back of the beach.
