LOC Autumn Series 6 - Kendal North

Welcome to this year's Autumn Series of 11 events. Each event will just have a Long and a Short course. Everyone is welcome to join us, but as these are urban events, all under 16's must be accompanied.

Kendal North - we've run around various parts of Kendal over recent years, we return to the north side of town for this event, which is a Score event. The Long course will be a 60 minute score and the Short course a 45 minute score. It is an urban score event so expect town centre streets and surrounding residential roads, some ginnels, steps, cobbles, footpaths and parkland.

We encourage running in pairs or groups – it is a good way to start orienteering. To do this, enter the event using one person’s name, and please add the names of everyone accompanying in the ‘Additional names and ages’ box. You can also request extra maps, if required.

More details are available on the LOC website at https://www.lakeland-orienteering.org.uk/events.

Everyone who attends must follow the ‘Participation Codes of Conduct’ which can be found at the British Orienteering website.

A quick reminder for newcomers: If you’re not currently a member of British Orienteering, you won’t be covered by the organisation’s public liability insurance for this event. You’re very welcome to take part, but please be aware that you do so at your own risk.
