Part of BOK's Local event series, scoring towards Club Senior League and Junior League. We will be sharing the area with a lot of footballers - juniors in the morning and adults from lunchtime - so all our timings are EARLIER and SHORTER than normal 0915 Registration opens - for those that have not already entered on Orange, Yellow, White and Newcomer courses and for collection of dibbers for those that have pre ordered them 0945 First Starts - with priority given between 0945 and 1000 to Helpers and Juniors to enable them to relieve other helpers and get unaccompanied Juniors through early 1015 All unaccompanied Juniors must start by 1015 ( so that road crossing marshals can finish marshalling by 1045 ) - Marshals and accompanying parents then have time for their run All unaccompanied Juniors and any participant who anticipate taking an hour or more to complete their courses are asked to start by1015 or earlier. 1130 Start closes 1230 Courses Close There will be one Start and one Finish for all courses which are located close to the event base. Parents and guardians of Juniors that are running unaccompanied are asked to ensure they accompany their juniors to the Start and from the Finish as these are located across the busy Stoke Road. BOK road crossing marshals will be deployed on all other roads crossed during courses between 0945 and 1045 and juniors are asked to follow these marshals instructions for their own safety. PLEASE REMEMBER TO DOWNLOAD IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOUR RUN so that the Results team know you are back safely and controls can be collected in promptly Control descriptions will be printed on the maps with loose descriptions available at the start (written descriptions for Orange, Yellow, White & Newcomer courses only).

Urban line event using Open Orienteering Map v3 urban style map at 1:10,000 scale. Controls will mostly be fire hydrant signs and MapRun software will be used to confirm routes taken and control sites visited.

Evening Urban Score event using MapRun

You have 60 minutes, and a map with approximately 25 checkpoints to visit. Your goal: to score points by visiting checkpoints. Score as many points as you can, and get back to the start within the time limit. We will be using Map run app look at the SWOC website for final details on downloading this. You can choose which checkpoints to visit, in any order, via any route. Checkpoints are a mixture of lamp posts, fire hydrants and other urban features and have between 10 and 40 points awarded. The control sites will not be otherwise marked on the ground. The event will run according to current British Orienteering rules for the return to orienteering in Wales and will also follow any Welsh Government guidelines in force at the time of the event. Mass start at 7pm. Pre entry only via Fabian 4.

Rough open moorland with several areas of old quarries featuring complex contours. Good fell running terrain!
