Wold Rangers Way Ultra

The Wold Rangers Way Ultra is a stunning 52 km circular route through the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds, starting and finishing at the eco-friendly Field House Camping & Coffee Barn near Tibthorpe. Now in its 6th edition, this friendly, inclusive, local event has become one of the most popular ultras in the region.

Limited to just 200 runners and selling out every year, it offers an intimate, well-supported experience with free parking, excellent facilities, four indoor checkpoints with toilets, live tracking included, and a unique finisher’s medal waiting at the end—while £4 from every entry supports local charities.

The route

The route follows much of the Wold Rangers Way, taking you deep into the rolling landscapes and iconic dry valleys that define the Yorkshire Wolds. It’s a varied and rewarding course that is easy to navigate, with the route clearly marked throughout so you can focus on the experience rather than navigation.

Along the way, you’ll pass through the picturesque villages of Huggate, Fridaythorpe, Thixendale, Fimber, and Wetwang, each offering a glimpse of the area’s rural charm. With expansive views, quiet trails, and ever-changing scenery from start to finish, this is a course that showcases the very best of the Wolds.
