To get a waiting list entry just enter as normal. No payment is required at this stage as there is no guarantee of being offered a place. If the Event Organiser is able to offer you a place they will send you an email inviting you to enter. You will then be asked to come back to this site and make your payment to confirm your entry. Trails For Good are excited to invite you to the Peak District this Autumn to take part in our Cheese & Crackers Trail Run event, taking in all that the excellent village of Hartington has to offer.
Choose between our fully waymarked short (8.4km, 135m ascent) or long (16.4km, 290m ascent) route for this Sunday morning trail run with a flexible start time between 09:00-10:30am. Simply select your 10 minute start window when registering and enjoy more space on the trails and at viewpoints thanks to our small group waved start approach.
Along the route you will take in picturesque views of Beresford, Wolfscote and Biggin Dale. Long route runners will take in even more of Wolfscote Dale and a short but challenging climb up to the Tissington Trail where they will enjoy expansive views of this stunning corner of the Peak District National Park.
You will finish on the trail opposite Hartington YHA before heading back to our event HQ in Hartington Village Hall where the Trails For Good team will be waiting to welcome you back with hot drinks and a variety of snacks including samples of local award winning cheese. Once you are satisfied, head to the Hartington Cheese Shop by the village pond to collect your complimentary event goodie bag stocked with a delicious cheese, crackers, and 5cl bottle of port.
Participants must be 18+.
Long course runners will be required to carry a mandatory kit and Short course runners will be required to wear kit appropriate for the terrain and conditions (full details avaialble on our website here).
*We partner with the Peak District Foundation, meaning your race entry is helping to support nature regeneration and trail repair across the park.
This event will be held under UK Athletics rules and has been licenced by the Trail Running Association (https://www.tra-uk.org/).
