National, SE League and SWELL event

Terrain: Mostly runnable woodland on contoured slopes leading up to and including the plateau around High Beach, with contour features and prominent streams throughout the area. There is a network of paths to aid navigation, plus several minor road crossings in the area.

Start/Finish: Both c.800m from the event centre with a marshalled road crossing. Allow 10 mins walk.
Parking: At the event centre, limited, there are 140 spaces, free of charge. There is no overflow parking. Please book a car parking space when entering.
From M25/North: From M25, J26: take the A121, direction Loughton. After 400m on Honey Lane after the Primo Piatto restaurant, turn right on Forest Side. Take the first right (Pynest Green Lane), and after the 90 degree right hand bend, the Gardens of Hanbury is 200m further on the right.
From A406/South: From the A406/A104 Waterworks roundabout: take the A104 heading north towards Epping. At the Wake Arms roundabout take the A121 towards the M25 junction down Woodreddon Hill, then before the Primo Piatto restaurant turn left onto Forest Side and follow as above.
By public transport: Take the Central Line to Loughton. Either take a taxi, or from stop A catch the 16C bus direction Waltham Abbey, alight at the Woodbine stop and walk 15-20 minutes along Forest Side and Pynest Green Lane to the event centre BUT note the 16C only operates every 60-90 minutes on Sundays.

Times: Starts: 10.30am – 12.15pm. Courses close: 2.00pm

Facilities: Toilets, enquiries and download will be in the event centre. Clothing dump at the start.
