The Longridge Lamplight Trail Run is a fundraising event where the proceeds are used to support local charities through the Rotary Club, all staff are volunteers and cover their own costs.
Choose from a 10 or 20 km route.
The trail run is on the footpaths and trails of Longridge fell.
As the name suggests this run will be primarily in the dark and over some challenging terrain. Headtorches and trail shoes will be mandatory. The course could be very muddy in places depending on the weather. However do not let this put you off, as a large proportion of the course is on fire roads.
This is an excellent introduction to night time trail running. The course will be well marshalled and course markers for easy navigation.
There is plenty of parking on the road at the event. We do ask that wherever possible you car share to help save the environment we care so much about.
The minimum age for runners on this event is 18 years old.
7pm start. There will be a race briefing 15mins before the start of the race for all competitors.
All runners will receive a free event snood.
As with all our events, the run is staffed by volunteers and all proceeds are distributed to local charities.
