The ‘No Cure, Always Hope, Ultra Run’ is a new challenge for 2016 covering 39 miles and 25 peaks.

This amazing fell running challenge was created in 2015 by Duncan’s brother and top fellrunner, Simon Booth.

It weaves together the three 10 in 10 walking challenge routes to take runners on a circuit from the Swinside Inn up Causey Pike, over Sail, Crag Hill, Wandhope and Whiteless Pike, before descending into Buttermere. There you will head up Dodd, Red Pike, High Stile. High Crag, Seat, Haystacks, Grey Knotts, Brandreth, Green Gable, Seathwaite Fell, Allen Crags, Glaramara and Thorneythwaite Fell before a descent into Rosthwaite. Next will be a climb up to Castle Crag, Maiden Moor, High Spy, Dale Head, Hindscarth, Robinson, Snockrigg and Newlands Hause, before arriving back at the Swinside Inn.

The inaugural challenge saw Simon out and back in a stunning eight hours and twenty minutes. It is a record that any ultra runner will be tempted to try to match, or beat!

Anyone can attempt the route. You must register your attempt beforehand here, keep a record of the time you set off from and the time you return to The Swinside Inn.  We do not have Annual Insurance, we suggest that you take out your own insurance as required.

A Roll Of Honour recognising all finishers can be found in The Swinside Inn.

Challenge Fee £30 pp. Includes a Kong Adventure goody bag (Inc A 10in10/Kong t-shirt and a buff), a detailed route map, Simon's GPX route, record card and a fundraising pack.  It also includes the lettering for your name on the 'Board' at the Swinside Inn.  You should collect your Goody Bag from Kong Adventures prior to undertaking the challenge.

Again, we ask that runners try to raise a minimum of £50 sponsorship for the MS Society.
