Start window: 5pm to 730pm Can be done solo, in a pair, or as a team of 3 or more. Each participant needs to put in an individual entry EXCEPT accompanied youngsters under 18 who go for FREE (when accompanied by a paying adult who must be 21+). Juniors aged 16 and above can run/walk alone with parental permission - in this case they need their own individual entry at the standard adult rate. A waterproof map of the course is provided to ALL participants. Please enter early for the best rates and to help with planning for maps, parking, event officials and catering.

Monday evening Sunset Spunch with Sale Community Fitness from Trafford Metroviks (MV), Finny Bank Rd, Sale, M33 6LR. Parking, Bag Drop, Loos, Start, Finish, Food & Drink all at the venue.
For runners & walkers, friends & families. Dog friendly too.
The usual 60, 90 and 120 min score course options (choose on the night itself).
One of our late summer / early autumn Sunset Spunch Series - making the most of the midweek evening daylight before the clocks go back. Get an early start and try to beat the dark or enjoy the sun setting before you return in increasingly fading light (hi vis clothing & torch necessary for later starters).

6 mins from M60 J6-8. Less than 30 mins from M6 J19-21A via M62 or M56.
0-25 mins from M60 & M56 South Manchester junctions. About 30-35 mins from M6 J19/20. Ample parking on-site / very nearby. 1.5k walk / jog from Sale Metrolink Tram stop. Other public transport options available.
Run, jog or walk - suitable for road runners, trail runners, park runners, fell runners, adventure racers, orienteers, walkers, newcomers, and families alike. 2k to 22k, the choice is yours! Newcomers and locals always very welcome. Great for families and friends to do together. Suitable for all ages and abilities - lots of help available for newcomers. Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead and under control at all times.
Start at your convenience anytime between 5pm & 730pm. (Last start for 90min course 715pm, last start for 120min course 645pm). Registration open from 5pm.
Beat the dark! Catch the Sunset! Sunset will be around 7pm and it will be dark from just after 740pm. Earlier starters may have the advantage of daylight throughout! Wear hi-visibility clothing and bring a torch / head torch if you expect to be still out after 7pm!
Navigating with a specially prepared map, visit as many checkpoints as you can in the time available, S-punching using the MapRun app on your smartphone, Garmin or Apple Watch.
A well-overdue first visit to Trafford MV for this Spunch with the Sale Community Fitness group. A new area for us too and I think you will be pleasantly surprised! North and south of the Mersey to the west of the A56, you will be mostly in green space - maybe Stretford Meadows & Kickety Brook? Or the many nature reserves further west...Cob Kiln Lane, Old Eea Brook, Queens Road, Banky Meadows and Ashton Woods. And yes, of course, Urmston Beach!
A rich network of paths and trails awaits you. It is mostly flattish and generally good conditions underfoot* so you will cover the ground quickly. There will be something for everyone and even locals will likely discover new paths and places!
Great food and drink available from the Trafford MV club house after your run / walk to be enjoyed in their extensive indoor or outdoor areas. The venue is child friendly & dog friendly too.
