I declare that I have read and agree to the following as detailed on: https://www.young-ascents.com/booking-1

1. Awareness of Risk and Informed Consent

2. Terms & Conditions

3. Privacy Policy

Whilst every effort is made to mitigate risks posed by Covid-19 and any variants of it, I understand that by taking part in any activity with others, there is an increased risk of coming into contact with infectious diseases and that Young Ascents can accept no liability for this. I confirm that I have read, understand and agree to abide by the Covid-19 terms outlined below.

  • When booking, travelling to and taking part in events, clients will at all times adhere to current local government Covid-19 guidelines/restrictions (see links below for region specific information):
  • Only online payments will be accepted for events
  • For navigation courses, students are encouraged to bring with them their own map and compass. Where a client informs Young Ascents in advance of their course that they cannot, they will be provided with a map and compass that have been sterilised and quarantined since their previous use.
  • Where possible, theory sessions will now be delivered outdoors.
  • All clients will now be required to bring with them in their kit a facemask, hand sanitiser and surgical gloves. These items must be packed in a location in their backpack that is easily accessible by themselves, for use when required. Kit can no longer be shared between those not in the same household. As always, clients must ensure that they attend events with all the kit and spare kit required including sufficient food and water for themselves for the duration of the event. All items should be easily accessible for themselves from their backpack, especially those frequently required. A list of recommended kit can be found at https://www.young-ascents.com/useful-information
  • Clients will maintain required social distance from one another as stipulated in current local guidelines.
  • Clients will respect local measures being taken at meeting points/car parks and facilities such as one way systems and keep left/right signage on access routes.
  • Maximum group size will remain at 6 people If in the 21 days prior to the event, a participant develops symptoms of Covid-19, is awaiting results of a Covid-19 test, has received a positive Covid-19 test, is required to self isolate or has been in contact with anyone else experiencing any of the above, they must NOT attend the event and must give Young Ascents notice of this prior to the event so that an alternative date can be arranged.
  • For information on symptoms see: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/symptoms/

With respect to the current pandemic, the measures above will now apply to our events. We appreciate your understanding and co-operation in this matter. By doing so, you help safeguard the health of local landowners and communities, your fellow participants, instructors, leaders and their families.
