Event Disclaimer / Terms and ConditionsT's & C's

I accept the following terms for my own entry. I also accept the terms on behalf of any other participants I am entering in this event, all of whom have been provided with a copy of these terms and accept them:

I declare that the information on this form is complete and correct. I understand that this race is held in accordance, and that I have familiarised myself, with the rules as specified on the website www.kongmountainmarathon.org.uk. I confirm that I am suitably physically fit for the event, have navigational skills appropriate for this race and will carry throughout the race any equipment specified by the organiser. I accept the hazards involved in fell running and acknowledge that I am entering and running this race at my own risk. Other than the Organiser’s liability for causing death or personal injury by negligence, I confirm that I understand that the Organiser accepts no liability to me for any loss or damage of any nature to me or my property arising out of my participation in this race.

Weather conditions/postponements/entry fees: in the event of inclement weather we will do our utmost best to run the event (including restricting certain competition areas and moving to bad weather routes) but safety will not be compromised under any circumstances. Should we have to postpone the event all entries and fees will be transferred to a re-scheduled date; if you cannot make this date then entry fees will be held over as a credit towards a future Mountain Marathon OR refunds will be given less £25 admin fee (to cover our ongoing event costs).

When entering via SiEntries you can choose an option to protect your entry fee by purchasing a refund protect option. This however does NOT protect against cancellation of the event due to Covid-19. Hopefully by June 2022 we are in a much better place but in case the event does need to be cancelled due to Covid-19, we will be moving all entries automatically to the same weekend in 2022, 3rd and 4th of June 2023.

We’re sorry but entries cannot be deferred until the next year under any other circumstances and the refund policy will be strictly applied. You can change a partner prior to the event, provided your team still meets the qualifying criteria for the chosen course.

If we are notified by email prior to midnight on 31st March we will refund the entry fee and the costs of any T-shirts purchased less an admin fee of £25 per team. After 1st April, a refund less £25 admin fee will be given only if the course is full and a replacement can be taken from the waiting list.

Occasionally runners lose or even break their dibbers. We are sorry but we will have to charge you £35 for any broken or lost dibbers so please take care of them!
