Punk Panther's Dales Way Challenge

I accept the following terms for my own entry. I also accept the terms on behalf of any other participants I am entering in this event, all of whom have been provided with a copy of these terms and accept them:

I declare that the information on this form is complete and correct. I understand and agree that I participate in this event at my own risk and that I must rely on my own ability in dealing with all hazards.  I am aware that the function of the marshals is only to indicate direction and that I must decide if the movement is safe. I agree that no liability whatsoever shall be attached to the promoter, promoting club, meeting sponsor(s) or member of the promoting club in respect of any injury, loss or damage suffered by me on or by reason of the event, however caused.

This race is covered by  Event Protect. This means if we have to cancel any race for circumstances beyond our control, you will be able to claim back 100% of your entry fee.

We will also offer Refund Protect. When paying for your entry you will be given the opportunity to protect yourself against not being able to run for numerous reasons including injury, public transport failure, airline failure, mechanical breakdown, jury service, court summons,  home emergency, armed forces and emergency services recall, adverse weather, work relocation, Government travel restrictions, full terms and conditions can be found here. This is optional and costs you and additional 7.5%. This covers you for personal cancellation when the race still goes ahead.

In addition to the above we offer the following. If you pull out of an event for ANY reason, you are entitled to an 80% refund provided the race is not full and the Early Bird Deadline has not passed. After the early bird deadline, we will not offer any refunds. However, until the race closes we will allow you to transfer your entry to another runner or another race (the latter ONLY if the race you are transferring FROM is not full). When race entries close, there are NO refunds possible, but you may transfer your entry to someone else.

Please note that in addition to the above we do not offer personal injury insurance or income protection, your participation in our events is on the understanding that we cannot be held responsible for any injuries or loss of income that may result from taking part in one of our events. If you require this additional level of cover, you must organise it yourself.

Included in the terms is your agreement to abide by the following rules, failure to do so may result in time penalties or disqualification at the discretion of the Race Director.

• No support runners allowed that have not entered (exception guide runners)
• No deviation of more than 500 metres from the route (this will be checked on trackers) if you go off track by mistake you must return to where you left it, otherwise you with risk a time penalty or disqualification at the Race Director’s discretion.
• You can get supplies on route either from shops/pubs/friends/relatives. But make sure your support watch you on the trackers and don’t wait for longer than necessary blocking narrow Dales roads.
• Support may be permissible at some checkpoints but check on final instructions.
• A .GPX file will be available upon request, once entries are open.
• Drop bag must be no bigger than a carrier bag. Finish bag no bigger than a rucksack (unless left by you at the finish).
• Please be aware that checkpoints are approximately 9-12 miles apart and some of the route is over remote Dales, so please ensure you carry enough fluids and food to get you to the next checkpoint.
• Close all gates and leave no litter.
• If you arrive at a checkpoint after the cut-off your number and tracker will be removed and you will be retired from the event.
• If you have to retire and arrange your own transport you will still need to report to a checkpoint or the finish to return your tracker.
• Failure to return tracker by the close of event will incur a £2.50 daily charge until returned, if lost the fee is £150.
• Punk Panther Ultra Marathons have public liability insurance, but not individual accident insurance. Entry is at competitors own risk and Punk Panther Ultra Marathons will not be held liable for any injuries incurred during or as a result of the event. All competitors agree to this as a condition of entry via a disclaimer when signing up for the event. You are recommended to take out your own personal insurance if you require it.
• You will be asked to complete a self-declaration medical questionnaire prior to the event to help assist the Race Director and event medical team, and any other medical professional that may be involved in your care should it be required. This information will be destroyed after the event has concluded.
