Burnley Way Ultra & Off-Road Marathon

I accept the following terms for my own entry. I also accept the terms on behalf of any other participants I am entering in this event, all of whom have been provided with a copy of these terms and accept them.

I acknowledge and agree that I am responsible for determining whether I have the skills, equipment, and fitness to participate in this event.   

I accept the hazards inherent in off-road running and acknowledge that I am entering and participating in this event entirely at my own risk.   

I declare I will not attend unless I am in good health on the day of the event. I consent to medical treatment being administered by official first aid providers should it become necessary.   

I agree to carry any mandatory equipment specified by the Race Organiser and understand that random kit checks may take place.

I agree to abide by all instructions from race officials and marshals, including withdrawal from the race due to safety reasons or missing cut-off times.

I accept the Race Organiser shall not be liable for any injury, loss action, claim, cost, or expenses or damage of any nature to me or my property arising out of my participation in or attendance at this event, other than in respect of death or personal injury as a result of their negligence.

I understand that while standard entry fees are non-refundable, the Race Organiser may offer refunds, deferrals, or transfers entirely at their discretion. I will contact them directly to discuss my options if I cannot attend. I agree never to transfer or swap my race number without official consent, as doing so compromises event safety.

I accept that the Race Organiser reserves the right to amend the course or cancel the event due to extreme weather or other circumstances beyond their control.

I confirm that I am aware of the rules imposed on me, including age requirements and equipment bans (e.g., headphones/dogs), and that I will comply with them.

I consent to the use of photographic or video equipment by the Race Organiser and to the publication of my name, club, race category, race number, finishing time, and race position in race pre-entry and results lists. I consent to the sharing of these details with trusted partner organisations (e.g., UK Athletics) for disciplinary purposes or otherwise where necessary in the interests of the sport, in accordance with the event's Privacy Policy.
