I accept the following terms for my own entry. I also accept them on behalf of any other participants I am entering, all of whom have been given a copy and accept them. If I am entering a rider aged 16 or 17, I confirm I am their parent or guardian, or have their consent, and that I will take responsibility for them throughout the event.
I declare that the information on this form is complete and correct.
I understand the Devon Divide is a self-supported, self-navigated ride, not a race. There are no marshals, route markings, feed stations or support vehicles. I am responsible for my own navigation, food, water, repairs, kit and decisions on the route, including whether to stop or withdraw.
The route and GPX file are provided as a suggested line only. They are not a managed or inspected course, and conditions on the ground can change. I am responsible for judging whether any section is safe to ride in the conditions on the day, and for finding an alternative if it is not.
I understand the route uses public roads, lanes, bridleways and tracks that remain open to other users. I will follow the Highway Code and the Countryside Code, give way to walkers and horse riders, and ride in a way that is safe for myself and others.
I confirm I am fit and healthy enough to take part, that my bike is roadworthy, and that I will carry the tracker provided, working lights and a charged mobile phone. I will let the organisers know straight away if I withdraw.
I take part at my own risk. Flaming Rotor Ltd, its organisers, volunteers, checkpoint hosts and sponsors accept no liability for any loss, damage or injury I suffer on or because of the event, except where the law does not allow liability to be excluded. I understand I am strongly recommended to hold my own third party liability insurance, and insurance for my own bike and equipment.
I consent to my name and location being shown on the live tracking map during the event, and to photos and video of me taken at the event being used to promote the Devon Divide.
