Participant Disclaimer & Waiver

By entering and participating in this event, you agree to the following terms:

1. Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge that this cycling event takes place in open, remote, and potentially hazardous environments. I understand that risks include, but are not limited to, injury, accident, collision, adverse weather, mechanical failure, terrain hazards, livestock, and interaction with other countryside users. I voluntarily accept all such risks.

2. Personal Responsibility
I confirm that I am solely responsible for my own safety, conduct, and decisions during the event. I will ride within my ability and fitness level at all times.

3. Equipment & Safety Requirements
I confirm that:

•    My bicycle is in safe and fully operational condition.
•    I will wear an approved cycling helmet at all times while riding.
•    I will carry sufficient food, water, appropriate clothing, and essential tools/spares to be self-sufficient for the duration of the event.

4. Non-Competitive Event & Route Use
I understand this is not a race and takes place on open roads, trails, and public land. I agree to:

•    Comply with the Highway Code at all times.
•    Obey all signage, marshal instructions, and local regulations.
•    Show consideration to other users including pedestrians, cyclists, horse riders, farmers, and motorists.

5. Countryside Code & Conduct
I agree to respect the environment, landowners, and local communities by:

•    Leaving no litter or trace of my passage.
•    Closing all gates as found.
•    Riding responsibly to minimise disturbance or damage.

6. Liability Waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I waive and release the event organisers, staff, volunteers, landowners, and partners from any liability for injury, loss, or damage sustained by me or my property during the event, except where caused by proven negligence.

7. Fitness to Participate
I confirm that I am medically fit and capable of taking part in this event and have no condition that would make participation unsafe.

8. Refund Policy
I understand that entry fees are non-refundable. Optional refund protection may be offered at the time of booking.
