By entering this event, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to the following terms and conditions. Where I am entering additional participants, I confirm that all individuals have been made aware of these terms and have accepted them.

I declare that all information provided is accurate and complete to the best of my knowledge.

I understand that Canicross is a physically demanding activity that takes place on uneven, natural terrain, including trails, woodland, and open moorland in areas such as Rivington Pike and Rivington Gardens. I acknowledge that participation involves inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, trips, falls, collisions, adverse weather conditions, and hazards associated with other participants, dogs, livestock, and members of the public.

I confirm that I am medically fit and sufficiently trained to take part and that my dog is fit, healthy, and capable of completing the event. I accept full responsibility for my own safety and the welfare, control, and behaviour of my dog at all times.

I understand and agree that:

• I participate entirely at my own risk
• I must rely on my own judgement and ability when navigating the course and dealing with hazards
• Event marshals are present solely to indicate direction and provide limited support; they are not responsible for my safety decisions

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I agree that the event organiser, promoting club, landowners, sponsors, volunteers, and any associated parties shall not be held liable for any injury, illness, loss, damage, or expense arising from my participation in the event, however caused.

Dog Welfare & Equipment

• I confirm my dog will be at least 12 months old on the day of the event
• My dog is in good health and not suffering from injury, illness, or conditions that could be worsened by participation
• I will use appropriate Canicross equipment (well-fitted harness, bungee line, waist belt)
• I will ensure my dog is treated humanely at all times and will withdraw if there are any signs of distress, fatigue, or overheating

Juniors

• Under 11s: Must be accompanied at all times by an adult (18+) who is also attached to the dog
• Ages 11–16: May run unaccompanied at parental/guardian discretion, or remain attached to an adult if preferred. A responsible adult must supervise and a suitable dog must be used

Event Rules

• A maximum of 2 dogs per participant is permitted; no separate race category applies
• Participants must follow all instructions from event organisers and marshals
• The organiser reserves the right to alter or cancel the event due to safety concerns (e.g. extreme weather or ground conditions)

Media & Results

I consent to the publication of my name, club (if applicable), race category, race number, finishing time, and position in entry lists and results. I also consent to photographs or videos taken during the event being used for promotional purposes, unless I notify the organiser otherwise in advance.
