An orienteering adventure along the North West coast of Scotland. Travelling through one of the wildest and most beautiful parts of Europe you’ll orienteer on areas never used for orienteering before.
5.6km, 268m ascent - a circuit up and down Caer Caradoc, near Church Stretton. Start 7.30pm. Park in Church Stretton Car Park by the Co-op. Make way to new start on field by foot allow 15min.
The Beast of the Beacons 20 & 40 mile Trail Event will not be forgiving, you will be challenged by this spectacular route whether you are an elite or beginner trail enthusiast, come and tame the Beast in the Beacons.
Based in malt whisky country, the Ben Rinnes Hill Race a Scottish long classic. It follows an out and back to Ben Rinnes, the dominant hill in Dufftown, passing the summits of Little and Meikle Convals on the outward and return journeys.

The Souter Lighthouse 10km is a brand new event for 2021 along the beautiful coastline trails with a fantastic 1 lap course. The event will take place on the morning of Saturday 31st July as part of the Souter Lighthouse Running Festival weekend.

The Brecon to Cardiff Ultra is a 70 Km race along the Taff Trail running through the Brecon Beacons National Park taking in stunning views. It is easy to navigate, making this an ideal first ultra or for experienced runners to post a fast time.
Winding through the beautiful lochs, glens and mountains of the Scottish Highlands, the Cape Wrath Ultra® is an ultra-running expedition through some of the world's most inspirational landscapes, including Morar, Knoydart, Kintail, Torridon, and Assynt.
Due to the 6 Day being scaled back we're putting on some extra events using maps from the Coast and Island week 2021.
The Hardmoors 26.2 is a series of 7 challenging Trail Marathons based in various beautiful locations in the North York Moors and on the Cleveland Heritage Coastline. Farndale takes in some of the most stunning scenery of the North York Moors
This will be the 39th staging of the event which is organised by local volunteers with support from PB Running. All monies raised are divided between local groups and charities.

The 23rd Scottish 6 Days Orienteering event will be held in Lochaber between the 1st and 7th August 2021. Lochaber is a scenic area in the Scottish Highlands. It includes Fort William and Ben Nevis - the highest mountain in Scotland.
Starting from Sheringham Community Primary School, 18 or 26 miles of sea views, lovely undulating countryside and the fine old parkland landscapes of North Norfolk.
The South Shields 10 Mile Race will take place on 1st August 2021 as part of the Souter Lighthouse Summer Running Festival. The race is held at Souter Lighthouse & The Leas & follows the coastal trails along our beautiful coastline.
Tenth running of the Trigger Race. Entrants will navigate their way from Marsden over Black Hill, Bleaklow and Kinder to Edale visiting three trig points on route. The linear route is measured at 24 miles with 1650m climb.

This event is a Street Orienteering event centred around Waterfoot using an OpenOrienteeringMap. There is one score course for all competitors with a 60 minute time limit. There will be 20 points penalty for every minute you are late.

The Shropshire Way Ultra is a 50-mile race, starting in picturesque Ellesmere beside The Mere. The route, mostly off road, follows scenic canal towpaths and footpaths and crosses the border briefly into North Wales before returning to Ellesmere.
A 55 mile Ultramarathon running from Guisborough to Helmsley through the North York Moors & the Cleveland Hills in quite possibly winter conditions with over 2700m of ascent. Do not underestimate this race!! Options for supported and unsupported runners
The Luss Horseshoe, a race with a sting in its tail. 11km and 1100m of climb, this race has it all... tussocks, mud, hand on knees climbing. If the clag is down, you're also going to need to know how to read a map. Junior races are also available.

A special one-off race for the 2021 English Fell Championships. It's shorter and harder than the usual Black Combe race. You will love it.
Part of the Atlas Running - Last One Standing weekend, the Trail race is a 4.2 mile route, starting at 10am. All competitors will receive a medal. This event will take place at Florence Court.

Runners have 1 hour to finish the 4.186 mile course before lining up and going again on the hour every hour. This will happen every hour until there is only one runner left. This runner is the last one standing the winner.
Teams of 6 runners will run the 4.167 mile loop inside the 1 hour time limited, then line up and do it again on the hour every hour.
The start of the 2021 Leeds & Liverpool Canal 130 mile Race will be 06:00 Saturday 28th August, Summer Bank Holiday weekend.

The Silva GL3D is a small but adventurous 3-day mountain marathon with a relaxed & friendly atmosphere. Over the years the event has built up a dedicated following of competitors who enjoy time in the fells whilst their overnight kit is transported ahead.
The Grand Tour of Skiddaw is an approximately 44 mile fully waymarked ultra trail race taking in the beautiful Northern Lake District with a climb up the mighty Skiddaw at the approximate halfway point, giving a total of 7136 feet of ascent.

This is absolute gem of a 10k route, starting and ending in Druridge Bay Country Park. The run is on gravel tracks, grass, tarmac and firm sand, along the beautiful Druridge Bay beach. The Junior run is once around the paths of the Druridge Bay Lake.

The Conic Canter is a 38 mile ultra marathon, starting and finishing in Milngavie. It follows a route along the West Highland Way to Balmaha, over Conic Hill, before returning by a similar route. Entries are limited to 300.

The Mourne Mountain Marathon is a classic 2 day navigation & endurance event for teams of two set in this fantastic area of Northern Ireland. Teams must be totally self sufficient for the two days carrying all the gear necessary for a night on the hills.
A fast 100km course, retracing the historic Cromford and High Peak Railway.
A fully marked ultra on nice underfoot, runnable scenic trails. The route heads into Sherwood Forest to take in Robin Hoods homeland before returning back to South Wheatley. A relatively flat run with mild undulations make it a 'fast' course.
THE LAP, a 45 mile anticlockwise Ultra Trail around Lake Windermere. Open to runners and walkers, fully way-marked and with generous cut-offs; it makes a great introduction to longer races or a fast, low level option for experienced racers.
10k trail run up our local landmark, Tom's Cairn, along tracks, and through the woodland around the beautiful Finzean Estate. 5k run around Finzean Woods on an undulating track. Both start and finishe at Birse and Feughside Parish Church.
26, 18, or 12 miles from the beautiful Wistanstow Village Hall the route makes its way west to Clun, before heading north to Bishop's Castle and then east on the homeward journey back to Wistanstow. Choose your distance on the day, walk as far as you want

This is a fell race is over a rough, tough course with almost exclusively rocky and slippy ground. The weather in September is rarely 'pleasant' and the fells are often clagged in, making navigation difficult on a course with many pathless sections.

Charity “Cancer Care”, in association with Tri-Island Running, are hosting a 5km and 10km race to help raise sponsorship and awareness for the charity. The races will be out and back routes which will start and finish at Rampside Village Hall.

A Winter Ultra Challenge of 45 miles of the Pendle Way - with alternative option of 30 miles - on Saturday 5th February 2022 open to Runners and Walkers from Pendle Heritage Centre in Barrowford.
The Anglezarke Amble is a Challenge Walk taking in Rivington, Anglezarke and Turton Moors, through an area known locally as “Little Lake District”. There is a choice of distances for walkers, either 17 or 24 miles. Runners can only do the long route.
The Silverdale Circuit is an undulating but runnable 21 mile route with an ascent of Arnside Knott and Fairy Steps in the second half. It's packed full of stunning views and interesting features.

The Kong Mountain Marathon is a new annual event and is designed to test both orienteering and fell running skills in extreme wild country terrain in Scotland. The race will be held on the Isle of Arran on the 4th and 5th of June 2022.
