October 2026
Our 5th season. This event is set in Dodd Wood and offers a fully marked course with spectacular views across Bassenthwaite lake to the Coledale Fells on either an 8K or 5K option. Be warned ... it's lumpy!

Season 5! We will be hosting our route on the South Side of Whinlatter forest on this date. It has two options of 10k or 5k, it is lumpy, but the elevation is more spread out, rather than all in one hit. You can walk ... we have no cut-offs!

Season 5 and our second event at Grizedale this year. This one is set on the East side of the forest and offers a fully marked course in a beautiful location! This is our most runnable event - the 10k has 260m of vert and the 6K, 150m. We've no cut offs!

Season 5 continues. This time we are back at Whinlatter and are planning on delivering our original Seat How route. It is a stunning route with 8k and 360m of ascent or 5K with 240m of vert on offer. It's still one of our all time favourites!

Season 5! This is the first time Lakeland Paws has offered a half marathon course. It is based at Grizedale Forest and is on wide trails using both sides of the forest. We've no cut offs, our views are stunning and you are welcome to run with 2 dogs!

Tour de Whinlatter takes you to parts of Whinlatter forest that are a little bit quieter and it glorious! We have two distances on offer - 9 or 12k and both are some of our more runnable courses. It's one of my personal favourites.

Our final event of Lakeland Paws Season 5. Whinlatter Tails: Seat How offers a fully marked, stunning choice of 2 routes: either 8k or 5k. Both routes have ascent but the 8k has 370m of up! Our season prize giving happens at this event!
