Saturday 4th July 2026

Please read to the end of this email - Many thanks.

Last few days to go… before you follow the Patterdale Parish Boundary high up on the fells above Ullswater, or scamper down the Minibeat  Thank you for helping raise funds for our community here in Patterdale. I hope you are as excited as we are?!

Please note: Entries close on Friday 19th June for the main boundary challenge

(MiniBeat 10km can be entered on the day, but entries in advance do help our admin!)

Starting with all the WhatThreeWords locations for easy reference on your emails for on the day:

Parking - Playing Field ///faded.menswear.inversely

Beckside Car Park - if playing field full  ///lecturing.skate.gambles

Patterdale School (registration/start/finish) - ///prouder.tutored.foal

Kirkstone Pass Inn - ///rally.forehand.colleague

MINIBEAT

Please spread the word - our MiniBeat from Kirkstone Top to Patterdale School (yes, downhill)... is open for entries on the day. 6miles, 10km with absolutely minimal descent, on typical Lakeland paths.

FUNDRAISING

You will find the information about how to donate HERE if you can no longer attend the event.

NO LONGER JOINING US?

Please reply to this email if you know you are not able to attend.

MAPS/ROUTE

If you have purchased a bespoke A3 waterproof (& simple to read) maps of the route when entering - WOULD YOU LIKE IT POSTING TO YOU? Please reply to this email if you do.

You can add one by editing your entry on SI Entries if you change your mind - there will be very limited maps to purchase on the day. We will have the correct. number printed + a handful more.

Please check the route carefully in advance of the event day, using the route description and compare to your map.

Route description for 1st half and 2nd half of the Patterdale Parish Boundary has been written out firstly to help you navigate, and also as we would like you to complete the actual boundary as far as possible.  Some parts we ask that you to follow the path for safety or erosion reasons, other sections we hope you will join the purity of the event and follow the boundary line a little off trail - there are some boggy sections towards the end of the day, so be prepared for wet toes!

You can either use the bespoke map, an Ordnance Survey Explorer Map No: OL5, or the parish boundary is also marked on the OS Map App, (Note: a paper map is on the kit list).

(If you choose to use a Harveys map this will be harder to mark up, as some of the features described on the route description may not appear on these maps.)
