Saturday 25th October 2025

Firstly, thank you for entering Race you to the Summit.

This email is just to give you some final notes before the race on Saturday

  • Please car share as much as possible. Please do not park in the pub car park or the narrow lane heading towards the race route. There is plenty of on street parking along the A6033 road towards Todmorden without upsetting locals.

  • Toilets are available in the pub from 09:00
  • Registration will open from 09.00 in the pub. Please collect your race number and timing chips here.
  • We are once again using TIME MY RACE timings again this year. You will be given an ankle tag at registration that you must wear for the race. Please remember to hand these back in when you finish. Official results will be from the chip time, NOT the gun time and will be listed on the FRA website. Live results can be found HERE

  • Junior races will be chip timing as well with everyone receiving a goody bag of sweets (sorry, parents). First boy and girl from each category will receive a prize at the prize giving around 12:30. Apologies for the long wait but the atmosphere in the pub is great when everyone is back.
  • Due to the nature of the event, we will not enforce the full FRA kit requirement. However, we reserve the right to enforce a kit requirement on the day, depending on the weather. Please turn up with at least a waterproof jacket, hat and gloves. We will decide on kit requirements on the day.

  • Junior races will start from 10:00. Under 15's & 13's start at 10:00 and the 11's & 9's start ten minutes later. Times may vary depending on the amount of juniors we have turning up on the day. The start time for the Under 17's and seniors is 11:00 but please expect a slight delay if we still have juniors on the course.
  • Junior races start and finish down the track (side of the pub), near the small carpark just before the track goes uphill (look for the large CraggRunner flags) and will finish on the higher track (it will make sense when you arrive). The senior race starts and finishes at the side of the pub.

  • The pub will be offering a special runners meal (Chilli & chips and hotdogs for juniors) for both juniors and seniors after the races for £5 (juniors) and £6 for seniors, so please support the pub as they do a great job in catering for us all. Hot drinks before and after are £1.50
  • Prize giving for both Juniors and Seniors will be around 12.30pm. The usual categories and three to count for the team prizes. Don't forget about the fancy dress prize!

Ok, that's it. Email me with any further questions.

Have a safe journey over and see you all Saturday

Darren and team.
