Kettlewell Anniversary Fell Race - Final Details

Event Website

Sunday 22nd June 2025

We are looking forward to seeing you all next weekend in beautiful Upper Wharfedale for the Kettlewell Anniversary race next Sunday 22nd June, the next race in the 2025 FRA English Championships series.

Final race details are now on the North Leeds Fell Runners’ website at https://nlfr.co.uk/kettlewell-fell-race-2025/ This covers all the important event information, so we ask if all competitors could all please read carefully before race day.

We also wish to highlight very important access and safety procedures for the races as follows:

  1. If you collect your race number, we will assume you are running. If for any reason decide not to run before your race start, you must report to registration and hand in your SI card and race number.
  2. If you retire during your race, please inform the nearest race marshal on your route back and upon return, please immediately report to registration and hand in your SI card (do not go back to your car first).
  3.  There will be an SI box to ‘dib’ halfway round the route and also at the finish. If you fail to 'dib' these boxes you will not get a result.
At the finish you must ‘race for the line’ not the SI box. Your position will be that at the line and you will ‘dib’ just afterwards. Marshals will be present to keep you in finish order.
  4.  After the finish, you must go directly to registration and ‘download’ and hand in your SI card. This is an important safety requirement and also allows you to obtain your result. Please do not go to your car first!
  5. Failure to hand in your SI card or losing it will result in a £30 charge from Sportident (broken cards £15).
  6. There will be strictly no vehicle entry or exit from the parking field during the two race starts: 1150-1205 and 1320-1335.
  7. There are many dry stone walls in the parking field, finish area and on the race route. Please do not climb, sit on or stand on any wall. People climbing on the walls could jeopardise the future of this race.
  8. There are several wall crossings on the race route – you must use the stiles and gates even if there is a short wait to do so - any runners seen climbing over the walls will be disqualified.
