Poacher Enduro Round 1 - Belvoir Castle - Final Details
Sunday 6th April 2025
Thank you for entering the first mashup enduro in the Midlands. This is a test event to see if we can make mountain bike racing work on Belvoir estate which has already proved to be popular.
Places Still Available
Please tell all your mates that as we speak, there are still 30 places available and that entries will stay open until Saturday lunchtime or the events fills.
The Stages
The trail fairies have been working around hard to put 4 stages together. Stages 1 and 2 are more similar to bike park runs with a couple of jumps, drops and berms. Stage 3 and 4 are completely new off piste cut in stages. Where there are drops and some non rollable jumps there will be a B line in place. Please do not be embarrassed to use it. Everyone has a job to go to Monday morning! All stages are marked with tape where you can run French lines. The starts are fairly close together and the finish lines are all close to the push up which will maximise your ride time. PLEASE DO NOT RIDE ANYWHERE OTHER THAN THE CUT OUT STAGES, WE WOULD LIKE TO RETURN FOR FUTURE EVENT.
It is only 2.5 miles from parking to the stages.

You can view results on your mobile phone during the event. Your results for the previous stage should be visible on your phone by the time you have pushed up to the top ready to attempt another stage.
At the end of the event when you hand in your SIAC (timing chip) we will provide a printout that shows a summary of times for all your attempts at the stages.
You must hand in your SIAC before you leave the venue, otherwise there will be a charge of £60. These devices are valuable.
Facilities
There will be a toilet at the camping and car park. In the woods there will be refreshments which takes cash or card and portaloos. There will be no water fill points but there will be plenty of drinks on sale at a cheap rate. The bistro in the engine yard opposite the camping and parking will be open on Saturday and Sunday if you wish to use them for food and drink. The food is good. Guys when you use the toilets, if your aim is as good as your riding talk, please clean up after you or lift the seat up to make more room for error.
Camping and Car Park
We will be camping and parking down in the castle overflow car park. Please make sure you purchase a parking ticket from the machines by the gate. The parking is ANPR so you will get a parking ticket. Please feel free to use the Bistro for food and drink in the engine yard on Saturday and Sunday. Please park sensibly, We should all fit in however we will use the main car park as an overflow

Spectators and Pets
Spectators and pets are more than welcome to watch the racing. Please keep animals on leads at all times and clean up. Please stay clear of the stages. There is a public footpath that goes across the top of the woodland where the racing will be. There will be some drones flying in the area.
Drones and Go Pro Cameras
More than happy for riders to wear go pro cameras, Due to the liability all camera must be mounted either on the bike or on top of the helmet. The CANNOT be worn on a chest mount or chin guard mount. This is because if you fall of they can cause serious injury.
Please do not fly drone in the area unless you have permission from the event organiser. There will be drones flying and taking footage already.
Marshals
There will be marshals at the start of each stage. They will set you off at 30 seconds intervals. If you require longer you are more than welcome to ask for up to 45 seconds. The marshals are here for the safety of the event. They are giving their time on a Sunday so everyone can have fun, please do not abuse them otherwise you will be asked to leave.
Timings on the day
- 0800 Registration will open, please collect your numbers and timing chips.
- 0910 Rider brief at the registration area.
- 0930 Sets off
- 1500 Back for tea and medals
The format is a mashup so you can ride them as much as you like, your fastest time on each stage will count towards your overall time. Top 3 in each category will be on the podium.
Ladies - due to low number in the ladies categories I have decided to put you all into one category. Some of you would have had no competition in your category. This will make it a bit more competitive.
