Ultra Weekend Presentations

After the success of evening presentations in recent years by likes of Jasmin Paris and Tom Hollins, we are intending to have presentations on both Friday and Saturday evening. Details will be emailed to all entrants soon as will be given first option to book tickets and make it into a real 'ultra' weekend.

Waiting List

Whilst we will have a waiting list, in practice, we significantly oversell in knowledge that deferrals and raceday 'no shows' will get us to around our target number. We use it in case of unexpectedly high deferral rate or if Mountain Rescue members don't take up their full allocation of places. In practice, unless in first few unlikely it will be used.

Event Substitutions, Deferrals & Cancellation

a) Deferrals allowed by self administration on your SI Entries account prior to 31/1/2027. Only one deferral allowed and it is to Haworth Hobble 2028. There is no charge.  You do not need to advise us. After this point, no deferrals will be allowed under any circumstances (except 'pregnancy - see below'). Please do not ask after deferral date as enormous time goes into preparing event and from deferral closure date, we immediately start to incur large costs. The race entry cost is priced based on this deferral date. Female competitors who become pregnant or in 2 years post birth just drop us an email at [email protected] as very happy to allow deferral at later date.

b) If you are unable to compete but you have found a substitute, then you may edit your own entry and substitute or sell your place (£3 admin charge for sale)  to 23:59 on 31/01/2027. Please edit yourself on SI Entries. Please note this substitution date has been brought forward by 15 days from previous events - this will affect very few but helps organiser a lot and keeps prices down.

c) There are no refunds available - you can substitute, sell or defer as above until 31/1/2027. This is a wholly volunteer run event with very low costs for what you get - if we gave refunds or later date for deferrals/substitutions then the cost of entry would rise substantially.

The Haworth Hobble supports Into Ultra . This is a new organisation set up to promote inclusivity in ultra running and provides help such as free race places, help with travel costs and other benefits to financially disadvantaged people who would like to compete. Please contact them directly as help may be available for your entry.

The Haworth Hobble fully supports SheRaces.com and we actively ensure that guidelines are met to ensure our races are seen as amongst the most female friendly around. We had a female participation rate of 52% in the 2024 Yorkshireman Off Road half marathon. We have also had very high female participation rates in recent Haworth Hobbles.
