TAY - Templeton Woods, Dundee

Tayside Orienteering Club invites you to an event at Templeton Woods, Dundee.

A new map of a small but very pleasant woodland area ranging from very runnable mature deciduous to somewhat thicker conifers on the upper slope.

There are some semi-clearings where saplings are growing and a few patches of low scattered bracken that are easily passable and dying down. Many paths criss-cross the area and the major ones are accessible. The smaller paths higher up form part of the Templeton Tangle mountain bike network and orienteers should give way to any MB encountered. There are one or two deep ditches but they are currently completely dry. There is no marsh and, aside from the reservoir and fishing pond, no standing water.

This event is suitable for Newcomers. There will be three courses available: Yellow, Orange and Light Green.

Registration and Starts from 1200 to 1315. We would like everyone to be finished by 2.30pm at the very latest so if you think you might take a while please start early.

See Tayside Orienteers website for further details on the event.
