Can be done solo, in a pair, or as a group of 3 or more. Each participant needs to put in an individual entry EXCEPT accompanied youngsters under 18 who go for FREE (when accompanied by a paying adult who must be 21+). Juniors aged 16 and above can run/walk alone with parental permission - in this case they need their own individual entry at the standard adult rate. Individual entrants aged 16-25 are invited to use the discretionary young adult discount code Spunch25 when entering if they are on low or zero income. This will provide a 25% discount on the applicable entry fee. A waterproof map of the course is provided to ALL participants. Please enter early for the best rates and to help with planning for maps, parking, event officials and catering. |

Spunch! is a big sporty treasure hunt with a difference - a fun, friendly & safe mini-adventure with a unique & colourful map. Suitable for all ages & abilities - no previous experience required. Locals and newcomers always welcome. Run or walk. 2k to 22k, the choice is yours! 60, 90 and 120 min course duration options (you choose on the evening).
Visit as many checkpoints as you can in the time available, satellite-punching using the MapRun app on your smartphone, Garmin or Apple Watch. With over 60 SpunchPoints to go for - how many will you bag?
For runners, walkers, friends & families. Go solo, pair or in a group of 3 or more. Help available for newbies. Dogs are welcome too, but must be kept on a lead and under control at all times.
On-site registration opens at 5:30pm. You can start anytime between 5:30pm and 7:30pm. (Last start for 90 min course 7:15pm. Last start for 120 min course 6:45pm). One of our early Autumn events. Sunset 6:50pm, dark from about 7:25pm. Hi-vis & torch advised if you intend to be out after sunset.
Final details and the MapRun course are usually published to all entrants on the day before the event.

A first Spunch visit to Gnosall. Food and drinks available.
Parking, registration, help, bag drop, loos, start, finish, results, food & drink all at or very near the venue.
The Area & Course
A mixture of underfoot conditions from tarmac to off-road trails* including gravel tracks and canal tow paths. There will be something for everyone and even locals are likely to discover new paths and places!
