Can be done solo, in a pair, or as a group of 3 or more. Each participant needs to put in an individual entry EXCEPT accompanied youngsters under 18 who go for FREE (when accompanied by a paying adult who must be 21+). Juniors aged 16 and above can run/walk alone with parental permission - in this case they need their own individual entry with discretionary discount codes available as below: Individual entrants aged 16-21 are invited to use the discretionary discount code SpunchZoom50. This will provide a 50% discount on the applicable entry fee. Intended for students in full time education or on very low or zero income. Entrants aged 22-25 are invited to use the young adult discount code Spunch25. This will provide a 25% discount on the applicable entry fee intended for young adults just starting out in life with low resources. A waterproof map of the course is provided to ALL participants. Spunch! Is a big sporty treasure hunt with a difference - A fun, friendly & safe mini-adventure with a unique & colourful map. Suitable for all ages & abilities - no previous experience required. Locals and newcomers always welcome.
Run or walk. 2k to 22k, the choice is yours! 60, 90 and 120 min course duration options (you can choose on the day itself).
The event is open to all and we are delighted to be staging this one from the Royal Oak Miles Green in collaboration with the local running club audleystriders.co.uk
Visit as many checkpoints as you can in the time available, Satellite punching using the MapRun app on your smartphone, Garmin or Apple Watch. With over 60 SpunchPoints to go for - how many will you bag?
For runners, walkers, friends & families. Go solo, pair or in a group of 3 or more. We can usually pair you up on the day if you prefer not to go alone. Lots of help available for newbies. Dogs are welcome too, but must be kept on a lead and under control at all times.
On-site Registration opens at 1730 and you can start anytime from 1730 to 1930. (Last start for 120 min course 1845; Last start for 90 min course 1915. One of our all-in-daylight springtime evening series. Sunset around 2030. Dark about 2100.
Final details and the MapRun courses are usually published to all entrants on the day before the event giving you time to make a route plan!

A first visit to the Royal Oak and this area. The venue will provide a warm welcome with a wide selection of drinks and food available including some Spunch Specials (details to be confirmed). The pub is child & dog friendly. It has indoor and a west facing outdoor area which will be lovely if the weather is kind.
Parking, Registration, Help, Bag Drop, Loos, Start, Finish, Results, Food & Drink all at or near the venue.
Just 7 mins from M6 J16 and within 20 mins of J15-18. Convenient for Stoke, Newcastle, Audley, Kidsgrove, Alsager, Crewe, Nantiwch, Sandbach, Holmes Chapel, Congleton & Biddulph etc
Catch the Spunch Train: The nearest train stations are in Kidsgrove, Crewe & Stoke - all about 20 mins cab ride away.
The Area & Course
BLUEBELL SPECIAL! An overdue return to the Audley area, but this time we will head south into the country parks and woodland south and east of Halmer End. Mostly on a rich network of off-road trails in attractive countryside. Lots of route choice and lots of hilly and less hilly options at this one. Good running / walking on a mixture of underfoot conditions from tarmac to off-road paths*. There will be something for everyone and even locals will likely discover new paths and places!
