Distance: 17 miles trail race
Event start: 09:30
A 27km trail race where each runner must visit four trigs: Weston Cliff, Buckton Hill, Beacon Hill and High Peak. Participants can choose their own route, but they must visit each trig in order (note: excessive road use is strongly discouraged). As well as the four trigs, there are a few extra check-points to visit.
All profits from the race go to Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY). CRY help prevent young sudden cardiac deaths through awareness, screening and research, and supporting affected families.
Registration: registration and race number pickup is at the Watersports Hub, Sidmouth EX10 8BG (at the east end of the promenade, next to the lifeboat station). Registration will open @ 8:00am
Start Location: At the flagpole, opposite the Watersports Hub, EX10 8BG @ 9:30am, on Sunday 7th February 2027.
Finish Location: the race is a loop course finishing where it starts.
Facilities: Toilet, shower facilities, and refreshments are available at the Watersports Hub.
Restrictions: No runners under the age of 18 and no dogs.
Marshals: Marshals will be out on the course near the Donkey Sanctuary, Sidbury, White Cross and Four Elms.
Medals: All finishers will receive (and deserve) a wonderful locally-made Welsh slate coaster.
Jurassic Triple Challenge: Any runners completing the series of (1) The Sidmouth 4 Trigs, (2) The Grizzly (Full, not the Cub) and (3) The Exe 2 Axe (Full, not Sid to Axe), in 2027, will receive a special commemorative set of coasters, free of charge.
