Please note that DOGS are NOT permitted at this event even if kept in vehicles. This is a condition of access to the Parking Fields as the farmer's primary care is to her livestock. Medical assistance dogs are exempted from the above.
All I can suggest is that a limited parking area is available behind the Grandtully Townhall from where it would be approximately a 1.5km walk to reach the 'Parking Zone.'
The WEST Area clubs - AYROC, CLYDE, ECKO, FVO, SOLWAY, STAG and TINTO are combining to deliver this project in May 2026.
Grandtully (pronounced Grantly) is well known for white-water canoeing on the River Tay, including sections of grade 3 water. This area was first discovered way back in 1997 but the map was only finally produced in 2016 by Stirling Surveys for use at STAG's 35th Anniversary Event at Grandtully, using a very small part of the mapped area. The area was then used for Day 6 at Strathearn 2019 and the southern part - which was thinned in the Spring of 2019 - was available although not used as the Reserve Area.
The event is being run under Scottish Orienteering Association Rules – www.scottish-orienteering.org/scottish-championships/
