Join PFO for two races around Rawtenstall for the price of one! The event combines the beautifully manicured surroundings of Whitaker Park with the streets, ginnels and urban features of the town centre, offering competitors a varied and enjoyable night of orienteering.
The double sprint format features two distinct courses, each with its own character. One will make the most of the intricate path network, open spaces and subtle route choices within Whitaker Park, while the other will send you exploring the streets of Rawtenstall, where quick thinking and sharp navigation will be rewarded. Together they provide a great mix of parkland and urban sprint orienteering.
As darkness falls, familiar places take on a different feel, adding an extra layer of excitement to the challenge. With instant results and a great event base waiting for you, it’s a great excuse to get outside on an Autumn night.
Competitors will take part in both races, with the overall results determined by the combined finish times from both courses.
Suitable for all experience levels, this is a fantastic opportunity to experience urban orienteering after dark in one of Rossendale's most attractive settings.
There will also be a yellow course.
