This year we are holding our 41st Penicuik 10k Road Race, our 'famous for the hill' race.
A beautiful, undulating 10k route that starts and finishes in the town of Penicuik. The route takes you out of Penicuik to Howgate and the Peebles Road where on the return the runners are rewarded with the most wonderful views of the Pentland Hills and of course the Mile Brae downhill!
Due to the requirement for Police Scotland assistance our race has a 1.5 hr time limit.
Under UK Athletics Rules and Scottish Athletics Licence. Runners must be 17 or over on the day of the race.
Race Start Time : 11am
Registration open from 9.30am - 10.45am for you to collect your race number
Entry on the Day may be available if the race doesn't sell out online. £15/£17 EOD

Runners must stay in the field for any warm up and then they will be called to the gate and all taken onto the road once we have the go-ahead from the Police. The roads are closed to traffic until runners get to the top of Pomathorn Road thereafter runners must stay on the pavements (where there is one) and adhere to marshal instructions at all times.
We are welcoming 'entries on the day' and will order extra medals but we cannot guarantee a 'medal on the day' for those entering on the day. We can however guarantee that they will have a medal within the week. To enter on the day you must bring cash with you, the correct cash please (£15 SA member/£17 non-SA member).
If you find that you can no longer run in the race then I am happy to provide a refund or transfer to a friend but the last date for these is 1st May.
We will be selling home baking in aid of our local Day Centre for the elderly, Broomhill.
