Newquay 10k

Newquay 10k Road Race is back for 2027.

THE ROUTE
Newquay 10k is generally a fairly flat fast course with one Cornish lane providing a hill within the first mile. 2027 will be the same route as in previous years, with a number of traffic controlled junctions and roundabouts along the course.

RACE START TIME: Sunday 7th February at 9am

FINISHER GOODIES
As a club we are trying to improve year on year to ensure our environmental impact is reduced as much as possible to help preserve our running playground as much as possible whilst still putting on a great race for everyone to enjoy. Anyone who has entered after Friday 1st January is not guaranteed finishers goodies.  We will do our very best to do so but it may not be your requested size preference. This is to ensure we don't over order and end up with wasted product.

THE OPTION TO OPT OUT: This year we are giving all runners the option to opt out of finisher goodies. We know that some local runners are only doing races when this is an option for environmental issues and 100% back this decision. If you do opt out this will be marked on your race number and you won’t be able to change your mind once entered.

CHARITY
A donation of 50p from every entry will be divided between The Cornwall Hospice Charity and Little Harbour, charities chosen by the Newquay Race Committee.

PARKING
In your race pack there we will be details of local car parks which are a 5-10minute walk from Race HQ. There will be NO parking on the Newquay Sports Centre site.

BAG DROP
There will be a bag drop. More information on this will be in your race pack sent out the week of the race.

RULES & DISQUALIFICATION
Please make yourself aware of the England Athletics and Cornish Grand Prix rules ahead of the race. Two key rules we stand firmly on are:

• NO HEADPHONES TO BE WORN DURING THE RACE
• FOLLOW MARSHALLS DIRECTIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS AT ALL TIMES. (This includes when to cross roads)
• RACING UNDER ANOTHERS NAME (EA rules apply, you must only ever run under your own name and provide the correct emergency contact info on the reverse of your no. Bib)

Failure to follow these and other rules WILL result in disqualification.

Please keep an eye on your inbox for emails ahead of the race, this will include details of sponsors, prizes and full race pack with rules and further details.
