LOC Summer Series 5 - Kirkstone Pass

Welcome to the last in this year’s Summer Terrain Series of 5 races.

Kirkstone Pass is an upland fell area offering challenging orienteering, with steep slopes, significant rock and contour detail and many marshes and streams.

Unsure which course to enter? The Long and Short courses will both be a technical course, designed for experienced orienteers, not for beginners! The Yellow course is great for beginners and children, while the Orange course will be a little more challenging.

We encourage those less experienced to run in pairs or groups – it is a good way to start orienteering. To do this, enter the event using one person’s name (e.g. the junior in a junior+adult pair) and please add the names of everyone accompanying in the ‘Additional names and ages’ box when you enter. You can also request extra maps, if required.

More details are available on the LOC website at https://www.lakeland-orienteering.org.uk/events.

Everyone who attends must follow the ‘Participation Codes of Conduct’ which can be found at the British Orienteering website.
