Lakeland Paws: Whinlatter Double Header

Our final event of Season 5 of Lakeland Paws, the second in our double header weekend and our season prize giving at the end.  Not one that you want to miss!

This is our original route to the summit of Seat How. On this route some sections are narrower and steeper, hence only one dog per runner on this course and the dogs must be run on a suitable harness. We have harnesses to borrow if needed, provided by Non Stop Dog Wear.  Runners are welcome to compete without dogs.

There are two course options. The longer option is an 8K (5 mile) loop with 360m (1200ft) of ascent, reaching the summit of Seat How and then following forest roads and trails back to the visitors centre.  There is a shorter option, which avoids Seat How, and joins up with the second half of the longer course. This is recommended for beginners or those seeking an easier route. It is 5K (3 miles) with 240m (800ft).  We have no cut-offs, so participants are welcome to walk as much as they would like to.

Our season prizes will be given out at the end of this event.

The event is chip timed and will be marked. GPX files are available to download too.
