Start window: 12noon to 1pm Alderley Park are staging this event as a charity fundraiser. Entries are £5 for solo or pairs and £10 per team of 3 or more. These entry fees are payable on the day to the Alderley Park team. Every single penny raised goes directly to Youth Fed, the chosen charity of the year. There will be prize vouchers for the winning team. The event can be done solo, in a pair, or as a group of 3 or more, however each participant needs to pre-register an individual entry on this system please in order to help the process run smoothly on the day. No charges will be applied for pre-registration. A specially produced waterproof map of the course is provided to ALL participants. Please enter early to help with planning for maps and event helpers. |
Spunch! Is an outdoor treasure hunt with a difference - A fun, friendly & safe mini-adventure with a unique & colourful map. Suitable for all ages & abilities - no previous experience required. Locals and newcomers always welcome. Walk or run. 1k to 10k, the choice is yours! 60 minute course duration.
This fundraising event is open to all who work at Alderley Park. This is how it works:
Visit as many checkpoints as you can in the 60 minutes available, Satellite punching (Spunching) each checkpoint using the MapRun app on your smartphone. With over 40 SpunchPoints to go for - how many will you bag?
For runners, walkers, friends & colleagues. Go solo, pair or in a group of 3 or more. We can usually pair you up on the day if you prefer not to go alone. Lots of help available for newbies.
On-site Registration opens at 1145 am and you can start anytime up to 1pm.
Final details and the MapRun course will be published to all entrants on the day before the event.

The Area & Course
The course will provide the opportunity to explore the whole estate. Gently undulating and about about 50/50 urban/green space. A mixture of underfoot conditions from tarmac to some off-road trails. Sensible footwear and active wear is recommended as there is a small risk of mud in some places depending on the weather!
There will be something for everyone and even locals will likely discover new paths and places!
