The Wharfedale Trail Half Marathon is a must for those who enjoy a serious outdoor challenge with fabulous views. The event starts and finishes at Wharfedale Rugby Club in Threshfield near Skipton in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Over £800 in Prizes including Course Record Prizes, plus specially designed "Event Memento" and a chance to win some fantastic Spot Prizes for all competitors.
The Wharfedale Trail Half Marathon is a 13.2 mile trail race flagged throughout the entire course. It affords participants and their families the opportunity to enjoy a great day out in some of Wharfedale's finest scenery with over 2,000 feet of ascents the route follows well established footpaths, including the Dalesway and Mastiles Lane and for those with time to take in the fabulous scenery the views from Scott Gate, Mastiles and Boss Moor are quite breathtaking. The Trail Race is organised under UK Athletics and the Trail Runners Association Rules. Precise details of the route for the event are shown on the relevant page of this website.
The event will use the SPORTident timing system and race numbers and timing cards will be issued on the day.
