Please Note - that this is a new type of cycling event - there is no set start time or event numbers - no registration - no marshals - no feed stations - no medical cover - no route marking arrows or signage - a cross between Sportive and Audax rides using modern technology
The Beast is our longest and most challenging event of the year, and although some of the climbs are steep and long, they are all ridable and very rewarding.
Come and use your summer fitness to take on our annual long Lake District sportive – 108 miles of scenic riding – remote lanes, stunning views, challenging passes, lake shores, forest roads and seaside promenades – something for everyone to savour awaits.

The event includes:
- free secure parking on tarmac
- on site toilets
- a "social start" between 0730 and 0800hrs for riders to form groups for the day
- 100% accurate GPX link of the route emailed the week before event
- quiet roads and lanes throughout
- route checked for road works and diversions
- route map inc location of shops, cafes, loos and pubs en route emailed week before event
- riders times published online post event on receipt of a Strava report
- broom wagons on standby - for mechanical support and transport back to event HQ
- post ride certificate of completion by post on receipt of a Strava report
- bespoke souvenir event medal & car sticker available to buy with online entry
