Burnsall 10k trail race is a new addition to the Due North Trail series. The Burnsall half marathon is in its 4th year and due to its success and popularity we have decided to open up a 10k route. The 10k route is the first 10k of the half marathon, with a diversion from Appletreewick to bring you back to the finish line at Burnsall. The route is actually closer to 11k but as most trail race courses, it is not about the accuracy of a measured course, but the joy of running in such stunning countryside which makes the race so special.

Included

  • Fully way marked course
  • Drinks stations with water & juice
  • Post race food
  • Bottle of beer
  • Due North Merchandise
  • and other goodies from race sponsors

Race Venue: Riverside Car park field in Burnsall Village. With the Red Lion Pub in front of you, go over the Bridge on the right and the car park field is immediately on the right. Due North Marshalls will be here to organise parking and direct you to the registration tent.

Registration: Car park open from 7:45. Registration from 8am. Runners will need to register at the tent in the car park by 9.40 to collect your race number.

Race Start: The race will start at 10.30am from the same car park & registration field.

During Covid race registration times, start times, on course facilities,  and rules on spectating may vary, please check your race emails after entering the race.

Toilets: A toilet block with Male & Female toilets is at the top of the car park as well as another toilet block in the smaller car park at the other side of the bridge.

Minimum Kit

  • Waterproof Jacket
  • Cup/bottle for water - no cups provided at the drinks station.
  • Mobile phone with race day number stored and a location App downloaded such as OS locate. See main race page for details.

Spectators can spend the day here in the beautiful riverside setting with catering onsite or take your own picnic. Other good viewing points are Appletreewick where the runners will pass by the two village pubs. Walkers along the Dales Way footpath towards Howgill. We ask that spectators do not drive along the narrow country roads or park along the roads. This does cause disruption to locals and is an added safety risk to the event.

Prize giving Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Male & Female and 1st V40, 50, 60, 70+  will be emailed to winners after the race.
