20th Valley & Views

As usual we will be running our three distance Special Event, the "Valley & Views", which includes a true marathon as well as shorter distances. It will take place on 24th April and as usual will be based from Wilbarston Village Hall.
Routes of 42 kms, 26 kms and 11 kms are offered and runners as well as walkers come from all over the country and even from abroad.
The 2022 event will mark the 20th Valley & Views which has always been popular, so we hope you will all come along to enjoy the day as we will try to make it a bit special this year.
Free refreshments will be offered at each checkpoint on the long and middle distance routes (there are no checkpoints on the short route) and this year we will provide lots more cake (we do not plan to run out of cake as everybody loves it, for good re-fuelling) as well as other items of food and drink . As usual cooked breakfasts as well as tea and coffee will be available all day at the village hall at a reasonable price, and this year the licensed bar will also be open from approximately mid-day.
Start Times:
- 42 kms 07.30 - 09.00
- 26 kms 07.30 - 11.00
- 11 kms 09.00 - 13.00
- Runners cannot start before 10.00am.
All entrants must check back in before 17.30
Parking: There is plenty of parking space available, but please follow the directions given by the marshals.
Retirements: If you have to retire, please try to do so at a checkpoint, and you will be transported back to the start.
First Aid: First Aid cover will be available.
Award: Every entrant can receive a certificate on request.
Trophies: There is a plaque for the youngest walker, given at the organiser’s discretion.
