The Windermere One Way Swim starts at beautiful and sheltered Fell Foot Park at the southern end of Windermere at 06:30. From here, the 11 mile swim takes you to the finish at the northern tip of the lake at Brathay.
Join a challenge swimmers where your supporting paddler has the opportunity to stop, stretch their legs and you the swimmer takes on board refreshments at the compulsory food stop. (Time is still running and included in your over all time, no minimum or maximum time but swimmers should be away from the feed by 12:00)
Or join the elite swimmers where you will hand your tag in a the compulsory stop but keep swimming to the end. We ask that your swim time be predicted around the five hour mark.
We do ask for past swim experience and you should aim to complete the event in 10 hours.
