Returning in 2022, the High Peak 100km Ultra is an adventure for all ultra-racers. With hugely positive comments from first timers all the way to elite athletes and marathon distance runners making the transition from road to trail.

New for this year, the High Peak 70km Ultra
One great value price - two options - the 70km and 100km
Choose which distance on the day.
In fact, choose which distance on the course!
Reach the 70km turn point on the course, if you've the legs carry on to the 100km turn point.
Whicever you choose, there's on-course refreshments, HQ hospitality, finishers' eco-medals, winners trophies.

The route is an out and back from Whaley Bridge to Newhaven (for the 70km) / Black Rock, near Cromford (for the 100km).
Up the Goyt Valley, through the historic spa town of Buxton and out into the rolling dales of the White Peak. Passing within sight of the Minninglow stone age burial mound, along the Pennine Bridleway National Trail to the turn at the River Derwent. Total ascent out and back is 1780 metres.

The course is varied and has something for everyone. Run over established trails and rights of way, with a generous 24 hour cut off time to complete the 70 and100km. For environmental consideration, we don’t add any additional signage, but route finding for the majority of the course is very straightforward. We email GPX files to all entries well in advance and during the build up to the race as well as a comprehensive race briefing document.

There will be Ranger Safety Team support at HQ and at regular intervals with water, snacks and hot soup. There is pasta dinner and hot drinks for all racers at the finish and breakfast on Sunday morning.  Racers finishers medals and winners’ trophies.
