The Peak District Ultras are three races wrapped into one epic weekend of adventure in our favourite local playground, the Peak District - the UK's Original National National Park. ITRA points are available for each distance and the race is a UTMB qualifying race.
The Millstone 100 (6 ITRA points): Gets its name from the giant millstones which mark the entrances to the national park, symbolising the rich history of the area. The race provides a serious challenge for even the most experienced ultra-runners, taking participants on a grand tour of the park, showcasing all aspects of the beautiful and varied landscapes within it. Starts at 19:00 on the Friday evening. 6 ITRA Points.
The Limestone 50 (3 ITRA points): The plateau of limestone, which provides the natural foundation of the 'White Peak' area, is the inspiration behind the name of our 50-miler. The distance and elevation mean it's a serious undertaking, but the generous time limit makes it accessible to a wide range of runners and strong hikers. A wonderful route with something different to see around every corner. Starts at 09:00 on Saturday morning (4th Sept).
The Peveril 33 (2 ITRA points): The Peveril may be the shortest option, but it's still got plenty of action. It takes in some of the best views in the area, from the high edges that run along the eastern side of the park to the deep dales that plunge, canyon like, through the high farmland in the area. Whether you're a racing snake looking for a podium position, a first time ultra participant, or looking for a grand day out with no time pressure, you'll definitely enjoy it. Starts at 09:00 on Saturday morning (4th Sept).
All three races start and finish in Castleton, a vibrant village right in the heart of the Peaks, with the high fells and remote moorland of the Dark Park area to the north, and the dramatic dales and historic villages of the White Peak area to the south.
As well as providing a classic event for the participants, a key aim for the race is to have a positive impact on the Peak District, its communities and the local environment. For it to be an event that residents, local businesses, and those that look after the delicate landscapes within the park, support and look foward to. Our commitments to this include:

Donating a proportion of the profits to the Peak District National Park Foundation charity, to help them protect this wonderful park, for everyone, forever.

Building strong relationships with the park authorities and land managers, their rangers and other stakeholders.

Organising conservation days for runners to help carry out important conservation and restoration work on the trails within the park.

Using the event as a vehicle to help promote and educate people on the work and behaviours necessary to maintain the beauty of the park for future generations.

Using community facilities for event HQ and checkpoints wherever possible.

Using local independant buinesses for supplies, such as race mementos, t-shirts etc.

Ensuring there will be no trace of the event by the time it is wrapped up at the end of the weekend.
IMPORTANT:
We are optimistic that any impact from Covid-19 on this year's event will be minimal. However, there is a possibility of adjustments to the arrangements around registration on the day, the start/finish format and checkpoints. This includes the potential for a staggared start arrangement which may change the exact start time for individual runners. We will confirm the arrangements with participants closer to the date of the race.
