Trackers: All Ultra distance entrants will be supplied with a tracker and a weblink will be provided during the week prior to the race, where runners and friends and family can watch your progress during the race. 20 mile runners may also hire trackers but these are at an additional cost.
Cost: £65 (Early Bird £50 before 30th June 2021)
Car Park/Start and Finish: Craftsman Tools Car Park (owned by William Sinclair Stationers in Otley – both have kindly allowed us to use it for the race). It is located at the end of Bremner Street off the A659 Pool Road LS21 1JD.
Start: (From Wharfemeadows Park – 10 minute walk from Car Park)
08:00 – Ultramarathon 28 and 36 Mile Race
08:15 – 20 Mile Race
Anyone wanting to start earlier on the Ultramarathon Course may do so from the car park from 7am. Please note CP opening times.
Event Closes: 8.00pm
Map Recommended: The route is on the OS Explorer Map 297, however a full description will be provided and the course will be taped.
Basic Route Details: Reservoir Dogs is a tour around 7 of the reservoirs that serve the Leeds area, starting with Lindley Wood Reservoir in North Yorkshire, the route then goes to Swinsty and Fewston Reservoir. When you reach the Checkpoint at Blubberhouses you can decide to do the long or short course. The long course then goes around Thruscross Reservoir before returning to Blubberhouses. Then both courses back along the other side of Fewston and Swinsty before heading over to John O’Gaunt, Beaver Dyke, Scargill Reservoirs before returning to Otley via Stainburn Forest and Almscliffe Crag. All finishers will receive a T-Shirt and medal. Those that complete the full distance will be listed before those doing the shorter distance.
Checkpoints: Each checkpoint will have bottled water, energy bars and crisps.
28 & 36 Mile Courses
Checkpoint 1: Blubberhouses – Both 16 km (9 miles) As CP1.5 on Long Course 27km (17 miles): Open 9.15am to 1pm
Checkpoint 2: Stainburn – Short 25km (16 miles), Long 38km (24 miles) : Open 10.00am to 3pm
Checkpoint 3: Castley – Short 37km (23 miles), Long 50km (31 miles): Open 11.15am to 5pm
20 Mile Course
Checkpoint 1: Swinsty – 16 km (7.5 miles): Open 9.15am to 10.45am
Checkpoint 2: Stainburn – 21 km (13 miles): Open 10am to 3pm

Every finisher receives a medal and a Reservoir Dogs Tech T-Shirt. Please note that although there are two Ultramarathon distances, this is one event. Event finishing positions are in order of distance completed then time taken.
