Our Dog Friendly walks will have at least two guides to look after you on the trail. If at any time you feel unwell during the trek, please let us know. Do graze on personal snacks and keep hydrated during the walk, a little fatigue is often resolved by taking on something to eat and drink.

Unsurprisingly, there are no toilets on the hills, but there are plenty of discrete places for a call of nature. Do let one of our guides know if you move away from the trail for any reason. We encourage folks to mingle and enjoy their day, but please do not move ahead or out of sight of your guide. If you do find yourself separated, remain where you are and call the duty number given out on the morning of the walk.

Our walks avoid livestock enclosures. However reasonable precautions are still required for the safety and welfare of free roaming sheep while on the upland trails. It is a condition of joining and participation on the walk that:

  • All dogs must remain on a lead at all times
  • Participants must ‘pick-up’ after their dog (bins are available at the end of the walk)

  • We will bring complimentary cake. If the Covid-19 situation is ongoing we feel it is more appropriate on this occasion for these to be individual pre-packaged portions of cake.
  • We will also bring sterilising spray, hand gel and gloves
  • We will be carrying a Jetboil stove to boil hot water for tea and coffee
  • Please bring your own mug if you would like a hot drink
  • Participants are also welcome to bring their own cake and flask of hot drink.

With social distancing and for your comfort, you may wish to bring a small sit-mat, square of foam or similar, to use while enjoying our cake break and the view.

PHOTOS: Complimentary photos of your day with us are made available to download via our social media platform. If you do not want your photograph to be taken please let us know on the day so we can respect your wishes.

GDPR: As part of our duty of care to you, we need to hold your contact details and any medical declarations (in-confidence) for the build-up and duration of the walk. These will not be passed on to any third parties and will be carefully disposed of afterwards.
