PLEASE NOTE  - The 2021 will be a local only event, due to Manx border restrictions. Please do not enter the race if you do not currently live on the Isle of Man. The 2022 race will open on the 1st June.

Our 50th Anniversary race in 2020 was cancelled due to the global Covid-19 pandemic.

Our 2021 race has been moved from Easter to the 29th May to allow more time to pass, however we anticipate the Manx borders may still be closed, so whilst the event may run as a 'locals only' event, it will go ahead!

However, looking back, we've had two races cancelled over the lifetime of the event - 2020 and 2001, when the race was cancelled due to 'foot and mouth'. That means our 50th race will be in 2022!! So we will be using that event as our 'party event' with special guests and anything else we can throw at it. Surely life will be relativly normal by then?

If you still want to come in 2021, keep an eye on our border situation via THIS LINK.

Please note that the deadline for getting a souvenir T-Shirt is midnight 9th May 2021. Entries after this date will receive a medal and pint, but no t-shirt. We need to get the order in! You also now have the choice to opt out of receiving a T-shirt and instead Manx Fell Runners will make a donation to Ardwhallan Outdoor Centre, on the island, who will use the money to plant a tree instead - simply choose 'plant me a tree' in the T-shirt size menu.

If you are coming by ferry, make sure you book via the link below as the SteamPacket has event specific offers.

The full marathon route is a point to point race from Ramsey in the North to Port Erin in the South, with the half marathon starting in St Johns and following the second part of the route. It is NOT, as the name suggests, a navigation 'Mountain Marathon' (such as the LAMM and OMM). The name is the traditional title from 1970, when the race was first contested.

There is a limited option for bag drops. Some check points provide water and the mid way check point at St John's will provide food - see website for details.

There will be post race massage available for donations.

Distance – 50.5km (Marathon) 22km (Half Marathon)

Ascent – 2600m (Marathon)  800m (Half Marathon)

Category – A/Superlong (Marathon), B/Long (Half Marathon)

Half Marathon: Slieau Whallian back road (GR.277815, short walk from registration area) 1pm

Both races finish at the Bradda Glen Restaurant in Port Erin, where there will be food and drinks. Race entrants can buy a meal in advance at the discounted rate of £5.00, or buy a meal on the day for the usual price of £10.00. The food is served carvery style, with a good mix of hot and cold options. Vegan, vegetarian and meat based dishes are available. You will be given the option to buy a meal on the next page. This is also the venue for the prize giving which will be held between 5:30pm and 6:30pm.

Full and Half MMM runners will receive a commemorative T-shirt*, a bespoke finishers medal and a pint of Bushy's ale as part of the entry fee. (*T-shirt only if entry is before the 9th April)

Further details of both races can be found on the website.
